About us

Set in the tranquil outskirts of Nuremberg,

the Höfener Garten country hotel is still only a few minutes drive from the A73 and A3 motorways. Both the city centre and the exhibition site are easily reached in around 20 minutes by car or with public transport.
Whether you are looking to enjoy the unique ambience of the steakhouse - run with great culinary passion by owner Michael Zwingel, the splendid garden, or one of the individually designed hotel rooms, you’ll always find yourself in a very special environment. We set great store on creating a friendly, comfortable, and one could even say family atmosphere, where you will feel right at home. We would be delighted to welcome you to our establishment!

In the year 1921...

...Michael Forchhammer, the great grandfather of the current owner, purchased the property. In addition to managing the inn, Michael Forchhammer built up a haulage business. Wooden planks were transported with horses and carriages and, in the evening, people met in the "Höfener Garten" to play the card game Schafkopf and to drink a glass of beer. As early as in those times, the "Höfener Garten" was renowned for its comfort.

In the year 1952
